Katie Rae is originally from Indianapolis, IN.  With a degree in Musical Theater from Ball State University, Katie has been the Stage Manager and Teaching Artist in acting and musical theater for the Booth Tarkington Jr. Civic Program in Carmel, Indiana.  Katie has also spent several years as a Teaching Artist for the Indiana Repertory Theater, and is a proud member of Noise, a monthly cabaret featuring some of Indy’s finest talent. Katie was the Middle and High School Theater Teacher at the International School of Indiana, accredited and certified in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. She has also taught, directed, and choreographed productions at several middle and high schools throughout Indiana including, Les Miserables, Footloose, Annie, The Diary of Anne Frank, Picnic, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, and Songs For A New World.   Katie has also performed in Indiana, New Jersey, New York City, and London and served as Director for Listen to the Music; an Indianapolis based Cabaret Company. 

Prior to Indianapolis, Katie’s projects included:  Founding Associate Director, founding member, and Fundraising Coordinator for Street Light Ensemble, a non-profit theater company located in New York City. In addition she served as an instructor for Arts for All, a non-profit theater education program for Manhattan’s inter-city school system. She is beyond thrilled to join the team at STAGE DOOR FINE ARTS!
